Thermoplan’s latest generation of professional coffee machines are connected to the Internet and produce data on the quality of the coffee and the wear and tear of the machine parts. bbv developed a secure cloud Azure IoT solution together with Microsoft to allow the large volumes of data to be analysed.

Development of a modern webshop within a short time for ARP Datacon
ARP Datacon needed support in developing a webshop based on cutting-edge technologies. In order to fulfil the ambitious schedule, bbv advised the customer with regard to the technology and also provided development capacities. One of the challenges was to reconcile two databases by means of a messaging system that was to be developed.

GARAtre is a software solution for physically calculating ropeways. The program is used by development engineers in the Garaventa/Doppelmayr Group for designing ropeways and verifying compliance with standards. bbv developed the software for Garaventa in an agile software development process.

Development of a tool for deployment planning and budgeting
As part of the Bologna reform, the Hochschule für Technik Rapperswil (HSR) adapted its planning and budgeting process to the new requirements so that students can compile their own modular course units themselves. A client/server model with MS SQL and .NET was used as the architecture for the development.

Development of a device for detecting cervical cancer
An analysis device was to be developed swiftly for the HPV virus in order to diagnose cervical cancer at an early stage. Thanks to agile software development and test-driven development, bbv was able to fulfil the ambitious goal and deliver high-quality software. The C# development relied on the existing customer framework for the solution.
