The breathtaking mountain world of Pilatus is just a few clicks away: The new group reservation system of PILATUS-BAHNEN AG impresses with a clear user experience design and a future-oriented architecture. An international team was involved in the digital relaunch, developing the solution in agile collaboration in just 5 months.
Lucerne’s local mountain is a popular destination for excursions. To ensure that the perfect mountain experience begins at the valley station and that travel and excursions merge directly, PILATUS-BAHNEN AG has introduced a new group reservation system. Train rides with the gondola, cable car and rack railroad as well as reservations for leisure facilities and wheelchair bookings can be planned and coordinated directly.
The system, designed by bbv on the basis of .NET and Angular, enables new forms of digital collaboration between different departments, such as customer service, the ticket office, the dispatchers or the accounting department. In the process, many previously analog processes were adapted and are now handled digitally. In addition to the display of information and transactions, information about the capacity and utilization of the gondola, aerial tramway and cog railroad as well as the tourist attractions is also available in real time.
