High-quality measurement data feeds are the basis for efficient energy data management. BKW-FMB Energie AG rolled out a new metering system for this purpose. bbv supported the migration in terms of quality assurance and optimisation of the processes involved in recording and processing measurement data.
The new requirements introduced in the course of liberalising the electricity market had to be complied with when supplying measurement data. Such an update was also to include cleansing the master data, while suitable test processes were to ensure data integrity.
bbv succeeded in strategically improving the quality of the master data, in particular, during the project. Weaknesses in cross-system processes were identified and improvements made. The evaluation mechanisms used for the analysis can continue to be used as control instruments in order to ensure the quality sustainably.
