Extensive tests are needed to ensure the existing functionality with each software release. Swisscom Directories AG wanted to automate this process. Thanks to bbv’s support, a solution was implemented without delay, which offers seamless functionality.
Swisscom Directories AG wanted to automate the testing of its primary application. The data-heavy GUI application consists of numerous dialog windows, countless tables and procedures as well as interfaces to telephone service providers.
The task was to develop test cases for typical business scenarios and to automate these systematically and with low maintenance as part of a pilot project. In the course of automating initial test cases, bbv created libraries with reusable functions for complex GUI actions (including identification of control elements) and implemented typical auxiliary functions. The automation solution is currently in productive use.
