The real success of a product is dependent on how and whether the user accepts it. bbv supported EAO AG in deploying usability engineering in order to optimise the user interface of a configuration software solution and thereby maximise user acceptance. Scrum techniques were used in the process.
EAO AG is a global leader in the provision of high-quality keys, keyboards and sophisticated control elements. The user interface for the configuration software was to be revised and modernised for a new multi-tone sound module for the public transport sector. The old version was complex and confused users.
bbv worked on a number of GUI concepts together with the customer and optimised them based on expert reviews. The concepts were validated using wireframe models. bbv then implemented the variant preferred by the customer in an agile development process using scrum. No training was needed as operation is similar to the previous version.
