Krämer AG is a global leader in dedusting, deburring and conveying tablets. The new NG Control platform developed by bbv offers improved integration and peripheral control in order to control and monitor the dedusting process centrally. An embedded Linux platform was used in the process.

The pharmaceutical industry has been relying on Krämer for more than 40 years for the dedusting, deburring and high-rise conveying of tablets with optimum efficiency. Krämer was looking for a modern control platform for its new product line, which was more flexible and easier to extend.

Next Generation (NG) Control was created in C++ based on embedded Linux and the Qt framework. bbv supported Krämer AG within an agile development process from selecting the prototype hardware to optimising the Linux kernel, setting up the development environment and programming the software through to hosting the continuous integration and source code administration.
